In the words of… nope, can’t find an authoritative quote that communicates what I want to say.  Well nevermind, here’s mine (feel free to quote this).

“Although I have been gone for so long, I have not forgotten you.”

Yeah, probably could have said that without the prologue and quotation marks.

University has kept me busy along with work at the florist, and I ended up prioritizing my relationships with friends and family over the blogging world.  My mental health has also benefited from this decision. 😉  Never fear, life hasn’t run me to the ground, quite the opposite, I’m loving my study and the way life has panned out for me this year!

Instead of writing a long monologue on what I’ve been up to since summer, I’ve decided to write another “This & That” post.  While I have found some time to blog, time and weather have not permitted any recent photo-shoots, but neither the former nor latter will stop me conclusively.

Before my flighty fingers flee, let me assure you of two very important things:

  1. I am still very much connected to the online world.  Activities include: perusing other fashion blogs, subscribing to Youtubers, and my recent development – joining Pinterest!  Conclusively, I have not crawled into a hole and disconnected my internet, still very much alive and very much present.
  2. Even though I haven’t been documenting my daily outfits, University has provided me with the perfect opportunity to branch out in my style and be creative in what I wear.  I am constantly creating new and interesting outfits on my slim, student budget and I’m having a lot of fun – hope to share at least some of these with you in the near-ish future.

Alrighty, scroll and enjoy my (bad-quality) photos!  This is 1 of several “This & That” posts to come…  Glad to be back. 🙂

A pre-Uni selfie – getting ready for some serious study!

Yep, very serious.  P.S.  Love this gurl!

I covered the front of my 4-subject notebook for Uni.  Nothing like a bit of vintage inspiration sitting before you to prompt the writing of assignments!

A day at the florist, featuring some beautiful bouquets.  Frequently heard comment, “Wow, it smells so nice in here!”  My reply, “Yeah, you kinda get immune to it.”  :-/

A night during first semester spent reading a textbook and drinking tea – survival.

IMG_2642More flowers!  …for my dear sister’s kitchen tea.

Preparing for Lydia to move out of the room we have shared since we were young lasses.  Many a tear was shed… but you should see what I’ve done with the place since then!  (Alert – future room tour!)

IMG_2653

Last sibling date with the unmarried girl!  Since then, I have been subject to many a, “How’s married life?!”  …apparently we look similar…

IMG_2666

A pre-wedding selfie in all our bridesmaid glory.  The dictionary still tells me ‘selfie’ isn’t an actual world… get with the 21st century program, dictionary!

…and a nice one, for good measure.

Well, that’s all folks!  Tune in next time for another “This & That” post, where I attempt to cover yet another few months in the pixelated (also apparently not a word) life of Esther!

“Even in the mud and scum of things, something always, always sings.”

Truth, and most definitely a genuine quote – not mine, sadly.

Uni starts tomorrow and I feel nervous, excited, un-composed, and fully prepared yet unprepared for what lies ahead.  Here’s to the future!

P.S.  A bit of tune talk… a couple of favourite songs:  “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, “Brave” by Sara Bareilles, and I did like “Say Something”… until the radio totally overplayed it… 😐
