Alrighty, so what’s with the title you may (or may not) ask. Ok, I owe you an explanation, so here goes:
I always find it very hard to come up with names for my posts, unlike a lot of other fashion bloggers out there. When I come up to the part where I have to write the title, I procrastinate and to be honest, go and ask Lydia what she thinks, though, nine times out of ten I just name it anyway. However, today was different, I started off with the usual, “Oh golly, what do I title this post?!” and then, “Um, Lydia, what do you think I should call it?” Then, brain-wave, I think of something just as Lydia says, “I think you should call it Off to Work.” (This will become clear in a min). I say, “Hmmm, a bit boring don’tcha think?” Well, Lydia doesn’t think so, but I know you are all dying to hear what my brain-wave was right?! It is, obviously, Lacey Days! It’s lame I know, and deserving of a groan, but I was sort of proud of my title, however, to appease both of us, I put Off to Work/Lacey Days up there. It’s only now, as I look at it, that I really begin to see that it’s rather oxymoronic, you know, going off to work, then the play off using lazy days. There you go! You now understand why, and have wasted over a minute of your precious time as well as reading my rather pointless explanation.
This post features a lovely fully lace crop-top. You may have noticed, that at the moment, full lace dresses and tops are in fashion. Glassons features many lace pieces from lace crop-tops to long, lace singlets. These can be see through with only the lace layer or backed with a lining and featuring a collar in matching material. All are lovely and rather my style, so I’m thrilled what this season has to bring us. Ezibuy also features a large range of lace outfits and pieces. Their latest magazine entitled, The Allure of Lace, has something to say about this latest style. “With a romantic heritage and a thoroughly modern makeover, these stunning lace separates are sure-fire style winners.” The cover page features a beautiful, bergundy, three-quarter sleeved lace dress and some of the first pages are filled with models wearing romantic lace tops and dresses.
Although this outfit is noticed because of the lace top, it is placed overtop of a simple black, singlet-style dress which we have mentioned before in a few of our posts. A black dress is definitely a versatile piece to own.
Lydia wears this to work often and finds it comfortable and stylish and has received many comments on the lace crop-top.
Go into Glassons and have a look to see what I’m talking about, and do yourself a favour and buy something! 🙂
