After a nasty bout of measles, I am back on the internet to share some more outfits with you guys.  Sorry these haven’t been as frequent, but I didn’t really foresee that I was going to get measles, and that I wouldn’t be able to walk over to the computer and that I even had to have my good ‘ol bro check my emails and reply to a few!  😀  Well, I’m back so here we go!

This outfit is still appropriate for winter with the dark tones, but as the title implies, it’s starting to head toward spring.  Although there is black in this outfit it’s matched with cream.  The colours are starting to lighten up and some chiffon material and lace make the outfit have a spring feel.

The grey leopard print tights also give the outfit a modern look and you can look fashionable but still be you without having to glitz up in all the glam which to be honest is certainly not everyone’s style, and in my opinion doesn’t define stylish.  I hope these posts inspire you to create your own style, look stylish and modern but be modest and you!

The handbag and necklace and ring are also some nice accessories that make the outfit.  I’m wearing a dress underneath that top, so again, the layering effect, and I love the boots, but they’re my sister’s, hehe.  Enjoy these pics and look forward to spring after this chilly snap!  Haha, I’m so glad we didn’t take these pictures during this weather 🙂

Enjoy and go have a look at your wardrobe and start pulling things out and getting some outfits matched up, you’ll have fun, I guarantee it, however, your room may not…

Hi folks!

Here is our outfit number TWO!  This was again vintage  inspired and I made the skirt that I am wearing.  I bought the fabric for a very cheap price and underneath the lacy material is light pink silk!  Which I got for $6 a metre.  I love the skirt but never really had that much to wear with it, so this would be a perfect outfit to wear to a ballet or a play or something out and about.

I hope you enjoy these photos and that they inspire you to be creative with the clothes you have.  As we have shown with the last post, you can create some awesome outfits with cheap clothing items!

So there they are!  We had a lot of fun with those photos 😀

Here is the list of items of clothing that we used:

  • Max Coat – Op shop $60?
  • Lace Skirt – Handmade
  • Cream Top – Principals $49.99
  • Shoes – Number 1 Shoe Warehouse $30
  • Lace Scarf – David Tasker Designer Jewellery $19
  • Stockings

Signing off now,

Enjoy your holidays and for some not holidays but enjoy your week nonetheless!

A vintage inspired outfit. This is a combination of both our clothes (but mostly Lydia’s). It’s all about the layering – you may not be able to tell, but there is actually a skirt, dress and sleeveless top involved (Lydia loves styling with layering, so do I actually). 🙂

We had a very fun fashion photo shoot, and my friend Rhesa took these fantastic photos!

  • Just Jeans Blazer – Op Shop
  • Black dress – Cotton On $10 on sale
  • Lace Top – Op Shop
  • Lace Skirt – Portmans $45 on sale
  • Polka dot tights – Farmers $12.99 on sale
  • Ankle boots – Glassons $29.99

Hope you enjoy!

Hello readers,

Well I’ve got a few posts coming up, some arty canvasses that my sister and I have created and also some more fashion photos.

The exciting news is:….

For about a week, we’ll be bringing you an outfit everyday or so.  These outfits are vintage and were created purely from the clothes that Lydia and I already owned.  My good friend Rhesa offered to take photos for us.  They were fantastic photos and so I’m very excited to show them to you.  However, I won’t be showing them today, as I’m going to wait until my sister is free to post them with me.

We’ll be giving you some fashion tips etc. so hopefully this weekend, those will be up here.

So now onto this post!

I have filmed another video of some of my craft, this time it’s of a vintage and pastel box that I redecorated and covered.  It’s very cool and the video shows how I made it and some techniques that I used, have a look at it here: http://www.youtube.com/user/CuttlebugCrafts?feature=mhee

I hope you enjoy that and I filmed another video last night showing how to make those fabric flowers that I featured in the video above, so watch out for that one too, though I’ll probably be posting that here as well. 🙂

So it’s almost the end of term and I hope that you’ve all got fantastic plans for the holidays!  I’m going to be fairly busy during the hols but I’m sure I’ll still find time to post on this blog!

Blessings,

Esther

Hi there peoples all over the world (hopefully :D)

This post is about postage stamps!  Yay, how exciting!

Actually, these are very cool and creative and fun to make!  And anybody can make them, they’ll be unique and different every time.  You can use all the little bits and pieces that you love but would never be useful on a card.  You could use a scrap of beautiful ribbon or lace or maybe the odd button, or two, or three or four. 🙂

Take a look and judge for yourselves!  I’ve used loads of different things, I even chopped up a few velvet leaves to make them smaller and in the top right hand corner I’ve even used a really cool paper-clip (the blue heart).  So have a go yourself and if you don’t have the postage stamp die from the Cuttlebug, cut some bits of paper out into different shapes.   Be creative!  I used quite a few sequins on these, and they look very cool.

Hope you enjoy, have a go yourself!

Esther
